Your Right to Delete Your Data
Chatbu respects your right to control your personal data. If you would like to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data from our systems, you can do so at any time by following the steps below.
What Data Will Be Deleted
Upon a verified deletion request, we will permanently remove the following data associated with your account:
- Account profile information (name, email address, profile picture)
- All chatbots and their training data you have uploaded
- Conversation history and interaction logs
- Billing information and subscription history (where not required by law)
- Any data obtained through third-party integrations (e.g., Google Sign-In, Meta, Instagram)
How to Request Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your data in any of the following ways:
Send an email to privacy@chatbu.io with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your Chatbu account so we can verify your identity.
If you signed in with Google or another third-party provider, you may also revoke Chatbu's access from that provider's account permissions page. Note that revoking access does not automatically delete your Chatbu account data — please also send us an email.
We will confirm receipt of your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once the process is complete.

Data We May Retain
We will honor all deletion requests promptly. However, we may be required by law to retain certain records — such as billing transactions or fraud prevention logs — for a defined period. Any retained data is kept strictly as required by applicable regulations and is not used for any other purpose.
Google Sign-In & Third-Party Data
If you used Google Sign-In to create your Chatbu account, we only stored your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by Google. Requesting deletion from Chatbu will remove this data from our systems. To also remove Chatbu from your Google account permissions, visit your Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access, and revoke Chatbu's access there.
